Barbeque planned for July 21 at Gold Beach Ranger District
(Gold Beach, OR) Gold Beach Ranger District has proposed to host a barbeque for District employees and SMS members at Wildhorse Campground on Thursday July 21, 2011. As proposed, the event will feature a District work day that will focus energies on Wildhorse Campground and nearby Wildhorse Lookout (which the SMS is restoring in partnership with the District). The work day will transition into a barbeque for all to enjoy in the afternoon. Please join us if you can! Wildhorse Lookout is about a 6-hour drive from Portland. Camp sites are available, and you can bet we will have a wing-ding of a campfire Thursday night! Please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend and I will e-mail you directions and other particulars.
For those who are interested, we will be arranging carpools from Eugene and Portland.
Due to the travel time for many of you, we recommend planning to stay the night Thursday, either in the campground or at a hotel in nearby Gold Beach.
